So i was thinking , so far Inter Miami has not won much with Messi. so far they will pay him 150 million by the end of his contract this year. They got him part ownership in Inter Miami. A team now estimated to 1 billion dollars because of one player. Not because a body of work of the team or because the team has multiple exceptional talent. He literally inflated the worth of the team to a billion dollars by himself. Total Revenue of the team will be estimated to 200+ million dollars in his two year there. Which is great. But what happens to the worth of the team when he moves on from the team in 2025? If he was the only reason this team went up to a billion dollar…what will keep this team's value after he leaves? unless they win something meaningful (a few league titles, and some international recognition would be nice) this team purposely over value their worth knowing it was not worth that much from the start. Is that not inflating your assets illegally? Specially since we all know Messi is on his tail end of the career and he has failed to win in every team he played (with the exception of a questionable world cup in Qatar…i think most people would agree the VAR was very inconsistent almost illegal at times). How come no one in the Sports News in the USA is talking about this?
THIS is the worlds best player according to Fifa haha. Can't even score against FC Dallas. They are a below average team in the United States, while Inter Messi has a stacked roster compared to other MLS teams. Couldn't even score against El Salvador. Its a complete joke he won those awards. Messi used to be the best player in the world but hes well past that. They have completely ruined the Ballon D'or by giving it to him. What a joke.
