The 2021 disappointment would have taught City and Guardiola a lot; they made one big mistake in defence and then Chelsea locked them out for the remainder of the game Catennacio style. I don’t see City making the same defensive mistake again. Also, City have better fire power this time round, with Halaand requiring the attention of two centre backs at all times. Inter Milan unlike Chelsea in 2021, don’t have recent fateful memories of beating City. In fact it will be Inter’s most difficult and stressful games of their season.

As a City fan, I’m nervous about this game but have measured confidence. I don’t think City will be at their best like they were vs Madrid bc Inter are a much more defensive oriented team & therefore I think the game will be much closer than a lot of people think.
