That's why Messi is missed so much. He can play wide, he can come inside, dribble 3-4 players with ease,he can drop deep and carry the ball himself which keeps another CM deeper to defend.. These are things that these petty wingers can't do. Messi brings so much value to the team.
The performance by Barca was really terrible, they just pass the ball around with no intent on scoring. This match was so boring, yes we were robbed but it doesn't take away how bad we played. I did not enjoyed the match one bit, Xavi messed up with the lineup and also playing positions of the players. We played like some mid table team who just cross n score. Shameful Performance, Injuries hasnt helped barca either. Xavi can make mistakes in laliga because its long season but in UCL he should not have gambled . Tikitaka works in La Liga for some reasons but no longer works in Europe. Barca need to change their football style. Football is now more fast paced and energetic.
