Antonio Conte's Inter Milan are 'wonderful' in attack so why are they so far off Juventus? | ESPN FC

Inter Milan move within eight points of Serie A leaders Juventus with a 3-1 win vs. Torino, after falling behind relegation-threatened Toro in the first half. ESPN FC’s Stewart Robson breaks down Inter’s comeback and examines the kind of football the Nerazzurri play under Antonio Conte to explain why they are so far off Juve. Plus, Robson reflects on Juventus’ 2-2- draw vs. Atalanta, the handball decisions that allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to score twice from the penalty spot and Atalanta’s chances of taking down PSG in the Champions League.

Think they miss Barella und Sensi

    Conte has rejuvenate inter.

  3. Sometimes I feel like they’re too tactical if that makes sense. When I see them play, I just see them trying to focus too hard on what Conte tells them and where to be rather than taking a couple risks. Sometimes a bit of luck and individuality could change the game massively. They also need better wingbacks and midfielders but they aren’t far from Juve.

  4. The simple is reason the stubbornest and arrogant of Conte has cost Inter the fight for the title also not knowing how to get the best of Eriksen and the injuries sooo far has been an issue.. still there is still not good depth.
Valero, Vecino, Gagliardini, Ranocchia, Padelli, Berni, Moses, Asamoah, J.Mario, Perisic and Lazaro should be sold and don't come back, most leave at the end of the season… Sanchez well it depends if they want to keep him also for too lower his wages around to 5 or 4M€
Tonali, Nainggolan should be the reinforcements for the midfield next Season. Only needs to buy Tonali and get back Nainggolan from the loan and take the option to buy Sensi. There is no need to look for more in this area.
Handa needs a backup, Unai, Meret, Cragno, Radu 2 of this four should be the object.
LWB, Gosens, Kostic or Alaba"is not easy but neither imposible"
vice lukaku Dzeko and provide min for Esposito to rotate with Lautaro
IF Godin stays then Inter should for Kumbulla or Sarr and if they want another CB 4 experience Alderweireld.

  5. yeah, I agree. they are consistent but sometimes they take it to the extreme like that atalanta juve game.

    1) If there is a clear advantage for the defending team, it should be a penalty.
    2) If the defender is tucking his hands in and isn't intentionally trying to stop the ball it shouldn't.
    3) If the hands are moving away from the body its a penalty.

simple, and easy to follow rules.

I think serie a is doing perfect wirh the penalty rule
it makes the games more exciting and there aren‘t any discussion about if it was a penalty

  7. Dalon Yong dijo:

Simple, he needs better wingbacks, more depth in midfield and defence. Hakimi will fit in well on the right, but the left needs a better option than young or biraghi/Bastoni. Maybe Marcus alonso?

  8. chris yako dijo:

He needs better wing backs. They are important in his system.

  9. This guy is usually really good on commentary for Serie A games has good knowledge

  10. Tibor Pataki dijo:

Inter's defense is just fine. The problem is the squad has no depth especially in the midfield. It would be quite an achievement if they could finish second behind juve.

  11. Psg hasn't played for a while i am going for Leipzig Atalanta semi

Atalanta to progress into the semi finals of the champions league

  13. I like Robo as a match host/commentator

  14. Liken Gadi dijo:

I think Serie a is better in terms of giving penalties, it's simple if your hand is extended and if it touches the ball then it's a penalty… In other leagues penalties are not awarded for obvious ones and many are given for which they shouldn't have…
And creates confusions…. It can be clearly seen in PL

  15. Rene Avalos dijo:

We should turn off handball rule like in FIFA it’s much better

  16. kay2382 dijo:

    because cr7 has been exceptional

  17. B D dijo:

    44th comment ???

  18. KDB dijo:

Lets not forget man City beat atalanta 6:0 ,even tho atalanta are good going forward there are still some problems at the back.

  19. Because Juventus Cheats…………..

  20. DRAY YORK101 dijo:
