ESPN FC’s Gab Marcotti, Steve Nicol, Craig Burley and Alejandro Moreno examine the fallout after Inter’s defeat vs. Barcelona in the Champions League. Marcotti says there’s a «big silver lining» for Inter and feels that Inter’s front office will now focus on holding off Juventus and winning the Serie A. Steve Nicol argues that the money lost by not advancing in the Champions league will hurt Inter when it comes to being able to afford big-name players.

that’s that loser mentality. how sad of espn.
Gab vs the neanderthals
These morons are blatantly creating arguments out of thin air. Gab – "They have one less competition to worry about, now they can place all their focus on the league."
Morons – "what"
shoutout gab for reasoning and shite
I agree with the shubby guy. Inter, after doing what they did on the group stage, should just focus on Serie A where they actually have a chance. No chance in the CL after this group stage disaster
Everyone sitting at that desk should probably be fired honestly they are so stupid.
Did Steve Nicol get brain damage in his playing days or something? He is so thick.
The reality is you gotta conquer your country before you can conquer the world. Inter are on the road to becoming better.
I wanted inter to win because of Lautaro Martinez
Love how they bring up Man City, being that its Peps 4th season, yet to still win a UCL, and that is after inheriting a solid squad to begin with. Conte is in his first year with inter, who are clearly in transition, with a small squad and not even half the money City have.
No slight on City but this whole panel screams bias and agenda, hypocritical espn pundits.
Moreno and Nicol just enjoy the sound of their voices don't even know why gab tries to reason with insanity.
WOW, finally you have a topic I agree on for awhile now. Yes, it would be great for them to go further in UCL, but I think for now, they should focus on domestic title(s), wrap that up and then return next season for the UCL. they stand a very great chance at Serie A, and should take this opportunity.
Somebody tell these people what a silver lining means
Stevie sounds to be the one with the lowest IQ! He rarely makes sense and seems to always play devils advocate.
its one of those situations where one person is absolutely right and the rest don't even get it
Stevie is so annoying ?♂️
Bullshit theory you make up after the fact you are knocked out, to coddle fragile Inter supporters. They wont win Serie A neither. They just arent good enough. When it gets tough they always loose or draw.
Someone explain to Steve Nicol what a silver lining is…
Inter do not have a first eleven (forget squad and depth) to compete in the UCL. A couple of injuries have hit them hard. They would have got knocked out in the next round. It's easy to sit in a studio and say a club should do this or that, but the game isn't played in the studio. Competing in one of the top leagues and the UCL puts a strain on the best squads, forget Inter Milan. Now that they have been eliminated they can focus on winning Serie A, which will build a winning mentality and help attract big players for next season. This was the group of death.
For the first time, I have to admit Gab is right, and the other pundits just throwing nonsense for the sake of arguing their illogical point.
FYI, Chelsea is nowhere near the EPL title race. So don't compare Chelsea situation to Inter Milsn
The panel other than Marcotti is totally oblivious. Gab literally said that of course Inter would want to qualify for knockout rounds but having been knocked out isn't too bad. But what do they hear? Of course the total opposite of what Gab was saying. Typical Craig Burley, Ale Moreno & Stevie Nicole. Infuriating bunch except for Gab Marcotti
And Craig just really makes himself out to be an idiot at the end there. JFC
Stevie Nicol is where intriguing discussion goes to die. This guy is so fucking dense.
If Inter win Serie A, that would be a huge step to becoming what they were before. Imagine the old Inter back, that would be great
What is this discussion lol
Nope, nobody is happy about 20 to 40 million they won't be getting now that they are out…but I agree that it will help some players focus on a league run
Inter milan top in series A.but got beaten by barca B.very sad.
Poor Gab. Those guys are such idiots. Noone is making excuses. The dark cloud is that inter has been knocked out of Europe. The silver lining is that they can concentrate on winning SerieA title.
I don’t think everyone else knows what a silver lining is
This panel is filled with idiots….
Gab if Inter could not win Barca team B just keep you quiet
They knew it was going to be a tough group. Ofc they are not happy they are out of the CL, but they lost. They can get down about this and lose their top spot in Serie A, or troop on and break Juves dominance.
Ok so they are out now… So I guess there're now pressured to winning Seria a
