Will Inter Milan sack Antonio Conte if they don’t win Serie A next season? | ESPN FC

ESPN FC’s Gab Marcotti and Stewart Robson reflect on Antonio Conte’s latest rant at the owners of Inter Milan despite their best Serie A finish since Jose Mourinho was in charge. They discuss the possible reasons behind Conte’s displeasure, with Gab commenting that it is probably a tactic to get the Inter board to back him with more funds. However, Robson says this is a dangerous move from Conte and feels he could lose his job if he doesn’t win Serie A next season.

All he wants is an unlimited budget so he can buy more used goods from the Premier League ?. His screaming and yelling at the players in the dressingroom is irking management though. He's lucky Inter finished second considering he used the same tactics in every single game lol.

  2. Who's better than Conte??, prob not that many people. if Conte is gone there is no hope for any improvements in the team.

    players chelsea signed in 2017-18
    1)morata (60mn)
    2)bakayoko (36mn)
    3)drinkwater (34mn)
    4)rudiger (31.5mn)
    5)zappacosta (22.5mn)
    6)emerson (18mn)
    7)giroud (15mn)
    8)barkley (15mn)
none of these were his first choice. nor any one of those were improvements on existing talent available.
players he wanted were lukaku, bonuci, van dijk, sandro, mahrez, vidal. all these players were available except sandro.
chelsea are struggling today and looking for players of similar caliber and would have been top club today if board had supported conte in 2017.

the last manager chelsea board completely supported ended up selling mata, lukaku, de bruyne, salah.

  6. Conte is such a great coach.

If they sacked Conte again Inter Milan will sink again! People who think that in a year or two is enough to win a title is are wrong you have to give time to a manager so that he can make changes and improve a squad

  8. Did anyone actually watch the interview? He never singled out any player. However, he did criticize the board for its double standards.

  9. inté always come second to di júve

  10. They better not! Conte is exactly what the doctor ordered!

  11. Ohh we as inter fans are hella buying it

The management has so many problems and everything he said is true

Inter were unlucky I think sensi was best player in serie a when he got injured and he helped them turn draws to wins with his incisive midfield runs. Conte please calm down inter are destined to win something if luck favours them

  13. I think inter board is smart now.why they want to fired a coach who give a 1000percent of his heart for inter and ready to fight with them?you think build a tean to be a challengge for scudeto is easy like fired every manager.passion is need for team like inter.they must copy liverpool

Inter better keep Conte and support him as much as they can, as he usually deliver in his second year.. He has that winning mentality wherever he goes. He may go off limit at times, but he's absolutely right with his recent statements about Inter's hierarchy..with their support and few right signings he will be unbeatable. Juve have to shift their focus to UCL and built for that and not be happy with free mid average signings, who are usually old or injury prone..I am sure Ronaldo regrets in terms of UCL quality…It's amazing to see Serie A become competitive once more..I hope these sides become what they once were in UCL Juve, Inter, Atalanta ( one of the most underrates teams), Milan, Roma, and Napoli !!

  15. I think inter have no choice but to do as conte says conte is arguably the man for the job and the fact that he wants to spend shows how determined he is to stop juventus in their tracks after just one window

ESPN is a joke infront of other much better football podcasts

  17. Ernest Abor dijo:

He keeps complaining about his lot in life and never do any thing to improve his own team. If they chose to sack him, then good for him. Managers motivate and improve not negativity and destruction

  18. MaKos2004 dijo:

Conte needs to be the coach of the Italian National team, his intensity is what the team needs

  19. Aditya Raj dijo:

One sentence – Please get Jules back & get rid of these two!!!!

  20. Of course not conte is one of the best manager in the world

  21. Either Conte is very dumb to make wrong comments at very wrong times. Or he is very intelligent by making right comments at right moments.

  22. Baba Yaga dijo:

Are clubs idiots.. if you keep sacking managers every 2 years u will have no good managers over 10 years…

You lot clearly can't think of any other important topics to discuss. ESPN should leave football alone. Useless twats!

Inter deserved better. They just had problems when Godin, Sensi, and Barella were injured.

  28. luigibonde dijo:

It is time that inter becomes a serious club again. Sure Conte should not have said what he has said in public but it is also fact, that Mancini is gone for almost the same reasons ans Spalletti, every now and then, has made also critical remarks in the same direction. Conte wants to win and we supporters want the same. If it is true that the club has promised things and has disattened those promises he is right – again he is not the only one who said similar things toward the club owners. Coonte is not complaining that Steve Zhang is in China, Conte is critisizing that Steve Zhang does not act as the president of the club and inter is a club, which gets no protection by the club. Who knows the Italian situation well knows that Italian press treats always inter in a special way. You will never read all those information about other clubs in the serie A and this is fact! Calciopoli to me is not over at all and the press in Italy plays some dirty games and the club does really nothing to stop that!
